In addition to my aforementioned skills, I am also an accomplished photographer, specializing in the unique lighting of nature and close-up details. "A Secret Garden" (left), taken in Baxter State Park (Millinocket, ME), was originally featured on the Maine Office of Tourism website.

"Fred J. Seagull Making His Rounds" (right) was photographed in the rain and fierce winds at Beavertail (Jamestown, RI) while working as a Park Naturalist. The seagull, whom I named to reflect Jonathan Livingston Seagull, would follow me around the park on my daily rounds. His presence illustrates the awe-inspiring but dangerous "sideways waves" of Beavertail's rocky shoals.

The 30-Day Photo Project

The original concept of a photo-a-day project for one full year (The 365 Photo Project) was a little daunting, so I chose to do 30 days of photos instead.  Below are a few of my more requested shots, including my absolute favorite: "A Modest Proposal (with apologies to Jonathan Swift)". No filters were used; all colors and lighting are natural.
